GET Section 7b Trail Report

      After the High Top Tower Road hike, I drove to nearby Mountain Grove, parked at the store, and walked along Gatewood Road, which includes a bridge closed to cars, about 0.6 mile round trip.  It was a pleasant walk, and the bridge is open to foot traffic, although it was covered with snow.  It goes by several houses, but the walking is nice.  We were greeted by a dog, a Golden Retriever, who wanted to meet Sid, then me, but went away after we passed by.  When I got to the end at VA 39, I decided to walk back the way I came rather then the slightly shorter distance along VA 39 back to the store. 
      The rest of this section is road walk along either VA 39 or VA 600, which are highways.
