Trail Description, “North” to “South”

   0.0       Parking for R.D. Bailey Dam Visitor Center, elev. 1240’. “North” end of section. GET follows Visitor Center Road out.

   1.4       Visitor Center Road ends on US 52. GET follows US 52 right (north).

   2.2       Cross railroad tracks, then bridge over Guyandotte River.

2.2 – 2.7 Justice, WV. Features include: Abb’s Inn, Razzle’s Club, Stone Creek Lodge, First Missionary Baptist Church, The Home Place, Justice Community Church, and Justice Tabernacle Church.

   4.0       Dollar General Store on left, followed by Missie’s Restaurant on left.

   4.9       Sprattsville Freewill Baptist Church on right, then Hope’s Den on right, then Carter’s Cabins and Rentals to left.

   5.9       Harry Joe Harless Road to left, with bridge across Guyandotte River.

   6.3       Intersection of US 52 and WV 80 (to right) in Gilbert.

                Follow US 52 left, across Guyandotte River. After this US 52 goes up Gilbert Creek.

   6.4       Harry Jo Harless Road to left, with bridge over Gilbert Creek.

   8.5       CR 13, Gilbert Creek Road to left. “South” end of section. GET continues on US 52 into Section 5b.

   0.0       Intersection of US 52 and CR 13, Gilbert Creek Road, to right.  “South” end of section.  GET continues ahead on US 52. 

   2.1     In Justice, Harry Jo Harless Road to right, with bridge over Gilbert Creek.  Continue on US 52, crossing Guyandotte River. 

   2.2     Intersection of US 52 and WV 80, ahead.  Follow US 52 to right. 

   2.6     Harry Joe Harless Road to right, with bridge across Guyandotte River. 

   3.6     Carter’s Cabins and Rentals on right, followed by Hope’s Den on left, then Sprattsville Freewill Baptist Church on left. 

   4.5     Missie’s Restaurant on right, followed by Dollar General Store on right. 

5.8-6.3 Justice, WV.  Features include: Abb’s Inn, Razzle’s Club, Stone Creek Lodge, First Missionary Baptist Church, The Home Place, Justice Community Church, and Justice Tabernacle Church. 

   6.3     Cross Guyandotte River then railroad tracks.
